WOMEN AROUND THE WORLD, MOVING THE EARTH
Global stories of women creating a more sustainable future.
rOOTED IN PETITE USA
The Elite Petite Planet Project is deeply 🌱rooted and rising, inspired by the Petite USA pageant system—tHE MS. ELITE PETITE DIVISION celebrates women 45 and older who fully and unapologetically embrace their age, wisdom, expertise, and life experience.
It honors women who lead with purpose, serve their communities, champion one another, and embody the enduring values of kindness, confidence, and sisterhood.
this is not about turning back the clock. It’s about stepping boldly into the era you’ve earned. We’re not here to fit into the spaces created for us. Women 45+ are breaking the mold, creating our own space, raising our voices, and redefining what it means to lead, live, and be seen—boldly and unapologetically.

Welcome, my name is jayne lynn black and i HAVE FOUR AMAZING adult CHILDREN. BEING A MOTHER TO THEM is THE GREATEST JOY OF MY LIFE. aS A very young mother, I will never forget watching my second son who had asthma struggle to breathe—coughing, fighting the tightness in his chest, and unable to run and play without stopping for air. His breathing problems led to countless doctor and emergency room visits and many missed days of school. my sons asthma was provked by the enviornment which is made worse by poor air quality. Today, he is a AN ADULT, but asthma is still part of his life; he still depends on prescribed medication and a nebulizer to help him breathe. That is why clean air is not just an environmental issue to me—it is personal. I have watched my child fight for something none of us should ever have to fight for: a breath.
My story does not end with my son. More than ten years ago, my grown daughter was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, a disease that changed her life and forced her to live in a body she could no longer fully control. Through her journey, she learned that protecting her health meant paying close attention to the air she breathes—both indoors and outside. Air pollution, including nitrogen oxcide (NOx) pollution caused by the burning of fossil fuels, can be another concern for someone managing MS, CONTRIBUTING TO MS FLARES AND RELAPSES making things like masks and air purifiers part of everyday life.
As her mother, watching both of my children face serious health challenges changed me. More than six years ago, I knew I had to do more than worry—I had to act. I call it where a mother’s heart meets a leader’s courage: turning the love and fear I feel for my children into the courage to speak up, lead, and fight for A healthier ENVIRONMENT for all of us.
